ROBERT BRUCE´S SPIDER

Robert Bruce king of Scots was on the point of giving up. Concealed in a remote cave, without food or friends, his cause seemed hopeless.

Since his defeat by the English at Methven he had a fugitive in his own land. His spirits were now very low.

His eye was caught by a spider spinning its web. It was trying to swing across a gap. Again and again it failed. The king became curious. Would it give up?

According to legend, on the seventh attempt the spider triumphed and change the history of Scotland.

Its determination made a deep impression on the King. In may 1307 he defeated the English of at Battle of loundon and won bach his crow. He became one Scotland's greatest rules.

When you feel like a point of giving up, remember Robert Bruce's Spider.
